A Little Bit of Everything

This week my mom was given the opportunity to travel to St.Barths with my Grammy. She was excited to be able to go back and witness one more time, to those who never accepted Christ as their Savior. So the rest of us back here at home are trying to survive ten days without Momma. Honestly....I don't know how she does it! ;) Me and Beth are worn out taking care of these three energetic kids! :)

So what do we do while Mom is gone? We have a work day outside!! (that was Dad's idea) :) But it's up to us to make the work fun, right? And what kid wouldn't love a picnic!

(Also, I couldn't get a normal face out of any of them!) :)

Dad also decided that it was time we got more chickens. The kids were SO excited about having new chicks to raise. Me, on the other hand, I have never been a chicken girl. Trust me, I love to eat chicken, but being around them everyday and having them follow you around the yard is not exactly my cup of tea :)

Today, Callie got a special little something in the mail! A couple of months ago, Grandpa promised to get Callie flowers. Ever since then she has gotten so many flowers from her grandpa! She was so excited about the purple package full of flowers that she got today!

Before Mom left, she told Callie that she better not lose any teeth while she was gone. What do you know, Callie lost her two front teeth in the same day!

And, of course, we have been working on school too. Silas took his spelling test yesterday and got 100%. He was thrilled!  Micah is not yet old enough to be learning how to read, but he asked me if he could do a copy of Callie's paper. Isn't he so cute!

So, we are barely getting by without our Momma! Thankfully some ladies in our church have made us a meal or two and offered to help us in any way that they could. But I still can't wait for Mom to get back home!

How Sweet!

After a long week of being busy, sometimes my mom has those days where she can't get out of bed because of her Lyme. This was one of those days.... And it also happened to be one of those days when Micah pees the bed, and Silas and Callie just happen to have a little more energy! :)
Anyway, me and Beth were watching the kids while Dad went to go make a visit to some church members. When he came home he had flowers for all of us girls! He picked out roses for me and Beth and some kind of red flower for Callie. It was so sweet!

I loved it how he picked out the ones that he knew we would each like. For Beth he got some pink ones! ;)

And for me, he picked out some bright, orange colored flowers.

And for Callie he picked red. She was thrilled to get flowers from her daddy!  Throughout the day she would carry them with her and bring them wherever she was. (she was also "petting" them, who knows how long they will last?) :) I snapped this picture of her coloring with her flowers!

My Dad is amazing! He knows the days when we could just use a little more encouragement, or maybe even just a coke and some cookies! (I think I always need some of those) :) Love you Dad!

Bible Study

I have really enjoyed my Bible Devotions time! I found a list on Pinterest (yes, I said pinterest) :) of everything that my Heavenly Father is. It made me want to go search out my Bible and find every verse that talks about my Father. It was amazing seeing everything the Bible says about Him. Of course, there is SO many more things that He is, but you wouldn't be able to fit it all on paper! :) But here is the list that I have started. A couple of the things is that He is perfect, forgiving, and preparing a place for me! Can't wait to finish and see everything that the Bible says about my Heavenly Father! :)

Looking Back

So I was looking at my notes from different messages and books I've read. A couple of things stood out to me, so I thought I would share it with you. Hope you enjoy it! :)

Satan is planning to destroy you.....what are you gonna do about it?

If the world could only base their beliefs about God on your action yesterday, what would they believe about God today?

Am  I willing to let the Holy Spirit have TOTAL control in my life?

Would I rather suffer for Jesus, or have all the riches in the world?

God is not looking for capability, He is looking for availability. Are you making yourself available for Him?

Looking back, I realize that all of these are questions! :) I think my favorite one is the second. That really stands out to me, I really need to make sure that all of my actions show Christ!
