Prayer

Today I am linking up with my mom's blog....she recently posted about prayer. Of course she puts it in a mom's point of view :) But I believe her post can apply to any age girl! I absolutely love my mom! She is amazing and such a good example of the Godly mom that I want to be when I am married. We have an awesome relationship and can talk about whatever. Hopefully her post can help you as much as it has helped me too! :)

Turning 41

41...wow! Pop you're getting old! :) :)  Some of the ladies in church decided that they wanted to have a birthday party for Dad after church Sunday night. Everybody kept it a secret from him until they brought all the food in that night. They made some of his favorites, like carrot cake and donuts. He was super excited!

Everybody had such a good time talking, eating cake, and playing ping-pong! :) I love my church family!

I love these little kids! (and I can't believe that they are all smiling for the picture) All these boys (except for Silas) are in the nursery. I love being able to spend time with them and teaching their Sunday School!

So thankful for my Dad! You are amazing. Thanks for being the Godly man you are! You are so special to me. Thanks for being willing to correct me and being a good example of how I want my relationship with the Lord to be. I love you!!!

Happy Birthday Silas!

I can't believe my little brother is 7! It seems like just yesterday when we were all waiting for him to be born. He has grown up so much! Right now Silas is in 1st grade and absolutely loving it! He is reading so well and learning quickly.

He was so scared that we were going to forget about his birthday. But how could we forget if he kept reminding us every day since Christmas? :)

Callie was super excited about what she got him! It's glasses that you put on and blow a snot bubble. Ewww!!!

Of course, he had to try it right then!

He's starting to learn how to play harder games. And one of his favorites is Battleship!

Silas decided that he wanted a caramel lego cake. So me and Beth spent a lot of time baking and decorating his cake. It didn't look exactly like we thought it would, (we had a hard time with the buttercream) but Silas was so sweet and told us several times that he loved it :)

I love this little kid and his fun personality! In the picture above I asked him to make a contemplative face. So this is the face he made! :) Hmmm...not exactly what I was expecting!

Don't grow up too fast little man!

Happy New Year!

2016 is here! Wow! This year has gone by so fast! But it has been an amazing year. I can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for us in this new year!
On New Year's Eve we have a big tradition that we always do. For dinner we eat Fondue. Mmmm.... We normally do just one fondue pot and boil the meat and stuff (not exactly sure what it's called) :) But this year we did that and also tried a cheese fondue. Which was amazing! I think one of my favorites was dipping the bread in the cheese. So good!

We are always so stuffed after the meal, that we wait awhile and then have our desert. Which is a chocolate fondue. I think the desert was everybody's favorite part!

To dip in the chocolate we have pound cake, strawberries, marshmallow, bananas, and normally cheesecake.

I think Callie was the one that liked it the most! :) You should have seen her when we were done, she had chocolate everywhere!
I hope everybody has an amazing and fantastic New Year!
