Sundays are one of my favorite days of the week! Every week I look forward to Sunday and can't wait to see my sweet church family that the Lord has given me. I also love Wednesdays! Most of the time I am in the nursery on Wednesday nights, but this Wednesday I was able to be in the service. My dad preached an Awesome message. It was about the colt that brought Jesus into the city in Mark 11. I thought I would share with you some of the things that really stuck out to me in the message.
1...The colt was submissive. Am I letting Christ take the reins in my life and letting Him have the full control? Am I being submissive to His will?
(I love number three!) 3.....The colt was exactly where Christ Expected him to be.
If Jesus came back today where would He find you? Wow! What a thought!
4....The colt didn't buck or bite along the journey. When Christ gets on the throne of my heart, do I ever buck or bite when He gives me a task?
5....The colt was used to lift up Christ so others could see Him better.
Do I lift up Christ so others can see Him better? Who (or what) is the focal point in my life? When others look at me do they see that Jesus is the MOST important thing to me? Or do they see other friends, sports, attitudes, video games, etc?
Well I hope that that was helpful to you! I wish every one of you could have been there to hear it! :)

Elisabeth's Birthday
Today is my sister's 18th birthday! 18! I started crying the other day thinking about her growing up. I like how my friend put it....."I wish we could just stay seven forever". Beth has turned into a beautiful young lady and I love her so much.
I told her that since she is now 18 I will start calling her Beth or Elisabeth. My family has many nicknames for her and sometimes she gets a little annoyed by them. I have been calling her Betty for a while. My mom calls her Lissie-Poo. She also has many more, like, Bets, Bess, and Beefie. But I think her least favorite is Beef. Yep, I said Beef. (Dad calls her that) :)
This week we have been preparing for her Graduation Party. Beth said that she wanted to have some of her favorites....so we will be eating chocolate chip cookies, strawberries, and drinking peach tea!
Whenever there is a birthday at our house that person gets to pick the food for the day, go out to breakfast with Dad, and doesn't have to do any chores!
I can't believe my sister is 18! I love you Beth SO much! I love the time we spend together while the boys are watching football! (us girls end up taking snacks in our room and watching a movie) And I loved it when we would stay up all night with our sodas trying to catch up on school. And remember when we wanted to write a book together? Where did the time go?

For A Purpose
This year the Lord has really been working on my heart about my personal walk with Him. Trust me...I have a LOT of work to do! I am not perfect! Some days while reading my Bible, I find myself thinking about something else. Or when I am praying, that seems to be the time when Silas, Callie, and Micah are the most noisy! Yes, I know, it is hard....but it is NOT impossible to have that special one-on-one time with our Savior.
Before the beginning of the year, my Dad passed out some Bible reading schedules. I picked out one that goes week by week and every day it has you read in a different part of your Bible. One day I read Psalms, another day I read in the Gospels and so on. Well. today I was reading in Isaiah, and one part of Scripture really stuck out to me and spoke to my heart. It's in Isaiah 43:7
".....for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; I have made him."
The Lord has created each and every one of us for His glory and for a purpose. God has something planned for every one of us! Isn't that amazing! If you follow His will, you will never go wrong! God has a will for my life....He has a special someone already picked out for me. Whether he wants me to be a pastor's wife or a stay at home mom...I don't know! But He will show me in His timing! I have to be patient and content with where the Lord has me and what He has planned for me. I wasn't some mistake that God accidentally made. Nope....He made me with a purpose!
Right now God has put me in a place where I can serve Him! I play the piano for church and teach the Nursery Sunday School. I love where God has me! Knowing that I am right in the middle of God's will is the best feeling ever.
Don't get discouraged! Every time you start to feel down, just remember that you are here for a purpose! You are special!
